Описание: It was a very busy Saturday afternoon at Nottingham City Airport, the base of a few local flying clubs and training schools for light aircraft and helicopters.

Tollerton Airfield is currently due to close on 6th June 2025 after the land was acquired by Vistry homes. The landowner served notice on the airport giving them 3 months to vacate. There is currently no planning permission in place and the airport is going to be sadly missed.

I grew up close by to the airport and for all my life i have been used to the sound and sight of the planes flying over head, I have enjoyed many afternoons here just watching the planes and grabbing a snack from the "Chocks Away" Cafe, whose last trading day was today.

Over the last few months campaigns have been mounted to try to save the airfield, however so far, have been unsuccessful.

This video will hopefully provide a sense of what we will all be missing if Vistry get their way and turn our beloved airfield into a housing estate. Save Nottingham City Airport
