Verse 1
Jesus showed His disciples many other signs
In the presence of His own;
Signs not written in this book,
Deeds these pages haven’t shown.
But these things here are written
So you may believe the claim:
That Jesus is the Christ, God’s Only Son,
And find life in His name.

Verse 2
I am the disciple bearing witness,
The one who wrote - these lines;
And we know his word is faithful,
True in every sign.
And there were many other things
The Lord Jesus did say and do—
If all of them were written down in books,
The whole world could not contain the truth.
