Using Genie+ at Magic Kingdom | Walt Disney World l Lunch at Geyser Point | January 2024

Описание: Join us as we spend a day at Magic Kingdom using Genie+. We get to ride a lot of our favourites using a mixture of Genie+ Lightning Lanes, the virtual queue for Iron and by simply waiting in good old fashioned standby lines. We take a break to have lunch at Geyser Point at Disney's Wilderness Lodge resort and go back to the park for some extra rides and Happily Ever After.

Today we have a late lunch booked at Geyser Point at Disney's Wilderness Lodge resort. It's where Keith proposed in December 2010 (although it was nothing but a beach back then!) and we've always wanted to go back there for sentimental reasons. We decide to fit a day at Magic Kingdom around the reservation and buy Genie+ so that we can get as much out of our time in the park as we can. We also join the virtual queue for Tron Lightcycle Run.

It's a lovely bright, crisp and sunny day as we get to the park. We forget that we have to wait 2 hours from when the park opens to be able to "stack" another Lightning Lane on Genie+ so we kill time by joining the standby queue for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train which turns out to be quicker than the stated wait time.

We grab a coffee from the Main Street Bakery and head to Big Thunder Mountain. We watch the Festival of Fantasy Parade from Frontierland on our way to Storybook Circus to ride Goofy's Barnstormer.

Our boarding group for Tron is called so we join the queue - which still takes 70 minutes - but we agree after riding it that it was totally worth the wait.

It's almost time for our lunch reservation so take the resort ferry to Disney's Wilderness Lodge resort. Geyser Point has a really cool sports bar vibe and we enjoy our lunch and the view from the great location.

Back in the park we use our Lightning Lane for Haunted Mansion and then ride some classic favourites - Carousel of Progress, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin and the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover.

We book a Lightning Lane for Dumbo the Flying Elephant but the ride has technical difficulties so we decide not to wait and a grab coffee to warm us up and position ourselves at the park entrance to watch Happily Ever After.

Back at Port Orleans Riverside we catch a few minutes of Yeeha Bob at the River Roost Bar before heading back to our room for the night.
