Nepal suspends Everest permits over coronavirus

Nepal has suspended all permits to climb Mount Everest, closing down the mountain a day after China halted access from its side to curb the coronavirus spread. With one confirmed Covid-19 infection so far, Nepal also halted climbing on all mountains across the country and stopped issuing tourist visas.
