Agribusiness students are in hot demand from industry. Of the 22, 820 undergraduate degrees awarded to students in 2011, only 68 were for Agricultural sciences and 90 were for farm and agribusinesses management. Yet, Dairy NZ estimates an annual need of 1250 agriculture-related graduates to keep the industry healthy and growing.
John Watson talked to two students with bright futures, Stephanie Wilson and Thomas MacDonald, about their analysis of various New Zealand agribusinesses carried out over the summer.
