Spent the evening in Devonport, Tasmania, watching the Spirit of Tasmania prepare for its journey back to Melbourne.
Shot from the banks of the Mersey River, just behind the Novotel, this video captures the calm before departure — the ferry slowly turning in the harbour, lights coming on, and the town settling into dusk.
Also stopped by Mersey Bluff earlier in the day — checked out the lighthouse and the lookout with those wide views over Bass Strait.
There’s something pretty special about seeing a place wind down as something big pulls away.
