Today our focus is on Playa Flamingo with it’s new Marina and spectacular beaches. The President of Costa Rica, Rodrigo Chaves, recently attended the inauguration of Flamingo Marina in Guanacaste as part of the 194th Anniversary celebration of the annexation of Nicoya Peninsula from Nicaragua in 1824. Flamingo Marina consists of three stages. The Marina required an investment of nearly fifty million dollars. The President said “This proposal satisfies me because it is based on three of the key pillars of the Costa Rican economy:
The beauty of its nature
Its openness to the world
The richness of its people

Phases two and three includes tourist accommodations, a convention center, and a desalination plant to take water from the ocean for the seawater to be potable. A long-term water supply for new commercial and residential growth by 2024, growing the coastal economy through direct and indirect employment. The timing is perfect for luxury property investors to explore potential opportunities in this new growth community.
The Flamingo Marina will compete with high-quality destinations in North America, Europe, and the Caribbean, and will put the “country on the world map of yacht and superyacht owners, with activities like sport fishing, diving, whale and dolphin watching.”
