Solo Wild Camping at Stickle Tarn | Lake District Hike, Wild Swim, Sunset & Misty Morning

Описание: This trip took me on a solo wild camp in the Lake District, hiking up to Stickle Tarn in the Central Fells of Cumbria. The climb was short but steep, and by the time I reached the tarn I was ready to pitch my tent right by the water, with Pavey Ark rising above me. It’s one of those classic Lake District wild camping spots that instantly feels special.

After setting up, I cooled off with a wild swim in Stickle Tarn. The water was freezing cold but so refreshing in the summer heat, and swimming here surrounded by the mountains is an experience you don’t forget. As evening came, I settled in to watch the sunset over the fells, with calm reflections across the tarn and the kind of quiet you only find while solo camping in the mountains.

The next morning brought a complete contrast. I woke to a misty and foggy landscape, with low cloud drifting across the tarn and hiding the peaks. It was cold but peaceful, and honestly just as beautiful as the clear views the day before. These moments are what make wild camping in the Lake District so rewarding — every trip feels different, but each one leaves you wanting to come back.
