Namtok Chet Sao Noi (น้ำตกเจ็ดสาวน้อย) is a charming, lesser-known national park straddling Saraburi and Nakhon Ratchasima provinces in central Thailand, about 160 km from Bangkok.
“Jed Sao Noi” means “Seven Little Girls” in Thai – and like many beautiful natural places in Thailand, this one comes with a legend.
It’s said that seven sisters came here long ago to bathe and play in the water. But mysteriously, they disappeared and were never seen again. Some say the river took them. Others say they became spirits of the waterfall.
Whatever the truth is, that legend has been passed down for generations – and the name stuck.
