How many hours/ day do you study French for?
Hi, it's Rushell! I'm on a journey to learn French and I'll be taking the DELF B2 exam in less than 2 weeks. I'm also a final year student so I don't have lots of time and the exam is in the middle of many of my other submission dates. However, I still want to give it a try.
I've been learning French for almost four years. I did a student exchange in Montreal, Canada Concordia University. While there I did a yearlong Intro to French course which got me to the level of everyday greetings and to be able to say somethings about myself. Then I went to France for two years as a language assistant. I didn't do any formal classes while there but I learned so much from being immersed in the language.
Also, I WWOOFed on a farm in Switzerland for three weeks where everyone spoke French so my language skills really improved then. When I returned to my island - Trinidad, I went back to university to finish my degree and did 1 semester of a lower intermediate course which I found to be helpful but somewhat below my level. However, I still struggle with the conjugation of verbs in the right tenses, so that's the main reason why I don't claim the B2 level.
Hopefully, I can pull it all together in the next two weeks to pass this exam. Have you sat a DELF exam before? Tell me in the comments below!
