Professional outdoorsman and wildlife manager Eddie Broen is invited to a ranch in central Mexico by Daniel Sada, initially believing it to be a routine wildlife survey. However, upon arrival, Eddie discovers he is part of a larger adventure involving the legendary Spanish fighting bull, "El Toron," bred at the historic Elserito Ranch—once part of a vast Spanish land grant and bull breeding operation.

Eddie learns about the bull's famed lineage and its return to the wild after the ranch ceased operations. He and Daniel embark on a challenging expedition into the mountains to locate a remnant population of wild bulls, believed to have descended from El Toron and adapted to the rugged terrain. Their journey involves harsh climbs, limited supplies, and nights in abandoned mining shelters.

Eventually, Eddie reaches the summit and encounters the elusive bulls but fails in his attempt to interact or document them closely. After a long standoff, he retreats, only to find his cameraman missing. Alone and facing an oncoming cold front, Eddie sets up a makeshift camp, gathers firewood, and prepares for a night in predator-rich wilderness with only a single can of smoked oysters left—ending a harrowing yet awe-inspiring encounter with the descendants of a legendary bloodline.
