What's the difference between prime numbers and relatively prime numbers? We'll be going over their definition in today's lesson!
A prime number is a whole number greater than 1 whose only factors are 1 and itself. Such as 2, 3, 5, and 7. Two integers, a and b, are said to be relatively prime (or coprime or mutually prime) if they have no common factors greater than 1. In other words, if a and b are coprime, then gcd(a,b)=1.
