For the last 40 years, I have been visiting Babusar Top and the surrounding valleys.
But on this trip, I witnessed a kind of destruction that words can hardly describe.
The video shows what the camera captured —
but here is what caused this silent disaster:
• Zipline structures installed everywhere without planning
• Non-stop commercial stalls and dhabas occupying the natural landscape
• Poor-quality hotels built right in the middle of scenic spots
• Garbage spread across places that were once crystal clean
• Meadows and clear streams now polluted and overrun by reckless tourism

and finally Babusar Top —
showing how a beautiful mountain peak is slowly losing its soul.
