Описание: Today I'll be researching timing optimization for the Gigatron ROMVX0. When loading programs using the SPI SD card function, timing requirements are extremely stringent. Although the official datasheet indicates that most chips should use the 74HCT, I've found this isn't the case. Currently, there are several specific locations where the 74LS is required for all functions to run correctly, including 64k program loading, Specard, and the ROMVX0-specific hardware-accelerated graphics demo. After extensive experimentation, I've found that the data register and instruction register are best handled by the 74LS273, the decoder on the data bus by the 74LS138, and most other locations can use a mix of 74HC and HCT. Of course, the crystal oscillator startup circuit in the upper right corner must be either a 74HCT04 or HC04, and the serial input chip must be a 74HC595. Now I'll demonstrate the ROMVX0's hardware graphics acceleration program.
