A large "Murder of Crows" as a flock is called ushered in by the first cold spell of winter attracts the interest of a Bald Eagle just as the Goodyear Blimp passes over the area - how odd is that. Crows and Eagles generally don't get along as you can see in this video: • Crow Versus Bald Eagle Always a rare treat to see an eagle over the yard, but to have the Goodyear Blimp within sight at the same time is way too random to fathom.
These are Fish Crows and are generally not migratory in the deep south and found near large bodies of water, but they have unique seasonal behavior. They seem to occasionally form up into large flocks like this in winter and disperse into breeding pairs and small families during the spring/summer breeding season. They make a ruckus when they move through. The only individual crows I see regularly are a small family that are most active during the breeding season.
