Wood Inlay - how to make custom wood inlay banding. Learn wood inlay skills and techinques in this woodworking YouTube video. Inlay is a masterful technique to adorn furniture, jewelry boxes, picture frames, and many more woodworking projects. In this wood inlay video tutorial the woodworker will share experience in the workshop of how to make a custom wood inlay banding.

The woodworker can learn advanced woodworking techniques developed by The Apprentice and The Journeyman to create the custom inlay. Watch the how to video to see the tilting bandsaw sled that is used on the bandsaw. This cross cut sled along with a clamped stop block will create the uniform wood segments. These segments when arranged create the overall designs in the wood inlay banding "log".

The inlay video clips also show the woodworking process for arranging the segments for glue up. Watch the online video to see how the inlay bandings are then clamped during the glue up.

Finally, when the wood inlay banding log is completed, it will be ripped on the bandsaw. Each veneer strip will be 3/32". About 32 lineal feet of decorative wood inlay banding will be obtained from this banding "log."
