Types of Venous Access Devices💉🩸

Описание: 💉Peripheral IV – short-term use (less than 5 days); placed in the upper extremities
💉Midline – typically inserted into the basilic or cephalic vein; lasts up to 4 weeks
💉CVC (Central Venous Catheter) – tip sits in the superior vena cava; can be used short or long-term
💉PICC (Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter) – type of CVC; typically inserted in the basilic vein; used for 1 week - 6 months
💉Port – implanted under the skin; used for long-term therapy (greater than 31 days)
