Here’s a complete Timeline of Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes’ relationship!
Shawmila is one of our favorite couples of 2019, but as I’m sure you know, this relationship didn’t happen overnight. In fact, it took FIVE years for these crazy kids to finally get together. I know. So, to get you up to speed, we’re breaking down the full Shawmila timeline from the moment they met til now.

Okay so it all started back in July of 2014, when Fifth Harmony was touring with Austin Mahone, along with, you guessed it, Shawn Mendes.

In November of 2015, the two dropped their first duet, I know What You Did Last Summer, which naturally sparked some dating rumors. I mean, who could possibly forget that James Corden interview where they, on late night television, started arguing back and forth about whether or not Shawn actually had made a move on Camila?

Fast forward to December 2018, when the two posted this photo together teasing what ended up being their duet Senorita with the caption “ “Canadian fury + Latin sass,”

June of 2019 is when things started to get a little bit cray. The two of them dropped Senorita with that STEAMY video and naturally, with lyrics that say “You say we’re just friends/But friends don’t know the way you taste / ’Cause you know it’s been a long time coming / Don’t you let me fall” people couldn’t help but hop back on the relationship rumor train once again.

Especially since it was reported around this same time that Camila and her boyfriend Matthew Hussey had broken up.

July of 2019 marks the first date of Camila and Shawn’s PDA tour across America. They were spotted getting super cozy at a 4th of July party, then were caught kissing in San Francisco shawn camila twitter vid 02 and then at the beach and just so many other places so let’s move into August.

There’s another person involved, and I can’t say things that I feel. It’s not just me deciding, you know?”

Buuuut then just days later, they posted the infamous fish kissing video.

During this same time, there was a lot of speculation about Camila and Shawn being in a fake relationship for PR but Shawn set the record straight with TMZ, saying QUOTE “definitely not a publicity stunt.”

This was also when Camila revealed that her and Shawn did have feelings when they first met but didn’t know what to do with them.

AND this was the same month Shawn also told fans that him and Camila have been officially together since july 4th. So when we first really saw them canoodling.

PLUS at the end of the month they were both spotted wearing long distance touch bracelets.

Moving into November 2019, Shamila went to a Clippers game and had a SUPER PDA filled date. Afterwards they went to get tattoos, Camila got one that said ‘it’s a mystery’ from Shakespeare in Love and Shawn got an A behind his ear for his sister’s name.

Moving into December, Camila’s album romance came out and turns out like 9 of the 14 songs are about Shawn. The songs also revealed the messy beginning of their relationship. Her songs ‘Should’ve Said It’ and ‘Feel it Twice’ reveal that Shawn actually confessed feelings for her at a bad time so she initially turned him down, because she was with Matthew Hussey.

Then at the very end of December, The two spent NYE together in Toronto.

Which leads us to January 2020. The two have been laying a lot lower lately but they did go to a grammy after party as a couple recently and were captured singing one direction together.
