Their feet have that horrible heeled incline but I want these shoes to be those beautiful standard platform goth boots with the wedge like bottoms so I will show you how we are going to navigate that issue in this video. I’m not gonna lie the end result gives you a goth halo queen fashion doll you've always wanted in your life. You can also alter this tutorial to have it fit for barbie, toner, fashion royalty, or whatever size doll you want by simply following your own pattern of your dolls feet. We are also going to magnetize these shoes by incapsulating Magnets so the doll can stand on its own. These platform doll boots are to DIE for so here is the list of materials
You will need: Premo Polymer Clay. Warning: Rant coming on.((YES IT HAS TO BE PREMO and NO YOU CANNOT USE FIMO, SCULPEY 3, or CATO. As I’ve shown in this video, when you bake premo at the thinnest setting at its recommended baking time you get a strong, flexible material that is just like the plastic material real manufactured doll shoes are made of. I get this question A LOT and people keep telling me how my tutorials didn’t work for them and then come to find out they’re not even using the SAME clay as me. Listen. ALL POLYMER CLAYS are different. There is another clay out there called Cosclay that you might be able to use but I’m going to let you know now that I haven’t used it to make my shoes but I have managed to get my hands on some of it and have not used it yet. The product is also SO new I can’t get it in other colors besides the doll skin tones they currently have on their website. This is an issue because personally I need LOTS of colors and I would have to get a flexible paint in order to keep the paint job intact. Check everyday if you’re interested in that. Secondly, I don’t understand why I post tutorials and people think they know better than me on my tutorials. I have been making doll shoes on youtube out of polymer clay, I’m tooting my horn and saying I’m the ORIGINATOR of these tutorials you can do your own research on this platform to check. If you want to use fabric, go for it, if you want to use more expensive epoxy, go for it, if you want to scratch this way and cast it with all those undercuts and do it your way. AWESOME, but please stop discrediting me, a black woman artist, on my channel. I’ve had to deal with this disrespect on my knowledge and know how on this channel for years and this is what we’re NOT going to do especially if you want more doll shoe tutorials in the future. It really annoys me that SOMEONE else who’s white has to recreate my tutorial and tell you that my tutorial works when I have an entire playlist of videos of myself making doll shoes with the dolls wearing and modeling the shoes in EVERY video AND I have several satisfied customers on my Etsy shop of people enjoying their new doll shoes. I’ve been selling them since 2014. Lastly, do not get annoyed at what I USE.
