Associates shocked by 'Acai Bill's' criminal revelations

Описание: The “former gangster” behind an acai dessert business with a cult-like following has faced court for contravening a domestic violence order, a day after his recent criminal past of beating his partner and breaking into a domestic violence refuge was uncovered.

Acai Underworld founder Billy “Acai Bill” Trad appeared before a magistrate at Parramatta Local Court on Friday, where his lawyer indicated he would plead guilty to a single charge of breaching a domestic violence order in place to protect his wife who he had previously bashed.

It’s the first time Trad has been seen since his full criminal past was revealed, which includes him being jailed on two occasions for serious domestic-violence related offences against his wife in 2022 and then in 2023.
