2025年11月10日に、菊まつりが開催されている茨城県笠間市を訪れました。メイン会場となっている笠間稲荷神社と、かさま歴史交流館・井筒屋では、ほぼ満開に近い菊の花が、色とりどりに咲き誇っていました。また、笠間市は日本有数の栗の産地であることから、門前町にある「古（いにしえ）」という店で、今年の全国モンブラン大会で優勝した「和栗や」のモンブランを食べてきました。100年以上続く伝統の笠間の菊まつりにおいて、今年も美しく咲き誇った菊の祭典をお楽しみください。

On November 10, 2025, I visited Kasama City in Ibaraki Prefecture, where the Chrysanthemum Festival was being held. At Kasama Inari Shrine, the main venue, and at the Kasama History and Exchange Center Izutsuya, chrysanthemums were in nearly full bloom, displaying a variety of colors. Also, since Kasama City is one of Japan's leading chestnut-producing regions, I tried a mont blanc from "Waguriya" at a shop called "Inishie" in the shrine town, which had won this year's National Mont Blanc Competition. Enjoy the beautifully blooming chrysanthemum festival this year as part of Kasama's tradition that has continued for over 100 years.
