The Khelo India University Games 2025 are officially heading to Jaipur, Rajasthan, marking a historic moment as this prestigious event comes to the state for the very first time. Scheduled for November 2025, this will be the fifth edition of KIUG, continuing the tradition of empowering university athletes from across India.

🔹 Purnima University and Rajasthan University will jointly host the event.
🔹 Over 200 universities and 4,000+ athletes aged between 18–25 will participate.
🔹 The athletes will compete across 20+ disciplines including athletics, hockey, archery, boxing, wrestling, football, swimming, badminton, table tennis, and more.
🔹 This isn't just a sports competition — it's a nation-building movement that recognizes, nurtures, and celebrates young talent.

In an official statement, Union Sports Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya emphasized,

"Khelo India University Games is not just a competition, but a national stage where youth get the opportunity to showcase their talent. This is the platform that prepares our future Olympians and Asian Games medalists."



Past editions have set high standards — from Odisha (2020) to Bengaluru (2022), Uttar Pradesh (2023), and the North East (2024) — each season growing in scale, participation, and performance level. Universities like Panjab University and Chandigarh University have consistently dominated the medal tables, showcasing India’s academic-sports integration at its finest.

The 2025 edition in Jaipur is expected to elevate the sporting landscape of Rajasthan and create new opportunities for athletes, coaches, and universities alike. It's more than just medals — it's about inspiration, infrastructure, and inclusivity.
