Confuse With CLED & MHA Plates ?

CLED agar or cystine lactose electrolyte deficient medium, is non-inhibitory growth medium , used in the isolation , and differentiation of urinary organisms.
In other hand Mueller Hinton Agar , media most commonly use for routine susceptibility testing using Kirby-Bauer disc diffusion method for nonfastidious bacteria .

So these 2 type agar plates , used for completely different purposes , but because of more similar color , some times these 2 plates can be mix up .

So in this video , I am going to explain little Tip to differentiate these 2 plates easily …

It is really easy ,
We should see the side view of plate , like this ,
If side view take yellowish white color , plate should be Mueller Hinton Agar ,

Also , if side view take bluish color , like this ,
Plate should be CLED plate …
