Описание: The Archie Carr National Wildlife refuge in Melbourne was established based on data from the UCF Turtle Research Program. Researchers work with several hundred turtle nests a night on the refuge, which is more than most beaches in Florida get in a season. They also work with juvenile turtles in the Indian River Lagoon, where we joined them for an up-close look at these endangered marine reptiles.
