WCML Action on Shap: Scout Green and Greenholme. 6 and 7 May 2021
Scout Green and Greenholme are fast becoming my favourite places for seeing trains in a beautiful landscape.
We see Pendolinos, 397s, Super Voyagers, Classes 56, 66 and 88 running up and down Shap bank in various states of weather from rain to bright sunshine. These trains rush up Shap Bank where steam trains of long ago would crawl without assistance.
