I was heavily influenced by the hype around Rokid glasses and ended up backing them on Kickstarter for about $1000 CAD. After weeks of real-world use, I honestly regret it.

In this video, I break down why the Rokid glasses are not worth the price — from an unpolished UI, uncomfortable dual-screen experience, lack of offline functionality, and paid AI tokens, to poor app integration and cheap-feeling build quality. I also talk about the Kickstarter dumpster fire, including logistics issues, surprise duties and taxes, repeated surveys, and delayed accessories like the prescription lens insert.

To be fair, there are a few positives — the teleprompter works, the fit is decent for Asian nose bridges, and the video recording formats are solid for creators. But even with those, I can’t recommend these glasses.
