PGA Professional Barry Davis talks to me at his new club just south of Wicklow town in the Garden of Ireland. Set along cliffs above the Irish Sea, Blainroe Golf Club is a wonderful 18-hole seaside parkland course with a warm and friendly atmosphere and some truly superb holes.
The front nine takes you inland and up "the hill" to the high point at the 6th green and 7th tee box with spectacular views out to the Irish Sea, before sweeping back down and across the R750 to the outstanding back nine.
You will never regret a day spent at Blainroe - a thoroughly enjoyable golf course in a magnificent setting.
