As there are two ways in which you can reach Darjeeling. One is via kurseong which is the normal and shortest route towards Darjeeling and the latter is via Mirik which is lengthier but more of a scenic one.
Mirik is a small town and a Notified Area of Darjeeling district in the state of West Bengal, India. It is the headquarters of the Mirik subdivision. The name Mirik comes from the Lepcha words Mir-Yok meaning "place burnt by fire".A tranquil laid back hill station where there are vantage points from where you can get lovely sights of Kanchenjunga snow peaks.
As u can see in my video the points to visit while traveling from Siliguri to Darjeeling via Mirik are:
