Both of these players are complete shutdown pitchers, but Trent Severino sits at the top for a reason. His pitches are insane, and he arguably has the best bat in Blitzball. Joey DiMeo brings an electric riser to the mound, but if he wants to hang with the very top competition, he’s going to need to hit—and he proved he can in a play-in game against Jack Doyle from the Warehouse. Joey has been on a heater recently, while Trent is looking to defend the #1 spot with everything he’s got.

On the mound, Trent will talk all day and try to get in his opponent’s head. Joey will stay silent, locked in, and ready for his moment to claim the #1 spot. This is both of their first games of the tournament, and each is trying to join Adam Knudsen in the win column. The battle for the #1 rank in Blitzball continues...

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Round-robin format: all four players face each other once
Every player plays 3 total games
After the round robin, the top 2 advance to the final
Winner of the final becomes the #1 ranked Blitzball player
Sweep Rule: If any player goes 3–0, the tournament ends immediately—no final is played, and they are automatically crowned #1 Rank

TOURNAMENT RULES
Game Length: 2-inning games
Innings: 3 outs per half inning
Count: 6 balls = walk, 3 strikes = strikeout
HBP Rule: 2 hit-by-pitches = walk
Hitting / Scoring:
Single: ball reaches the outfield grass
Double: ball reaches the fence or lands in the outfield grass
Triple: ball hits off the fence
Home Run: ball goes over the fence
Defense:
Ground ball out: defender stops it before the outfield grass
Fly ball out: defender catches it before it hits the ground
Run Limit: Max 5 runs per half inning
Run Rule: If a player leads by more than 5 runs in the second inning, the game ends immediately
