Built in 1997, Agios Fanourios is located just outside Kokkari and is illuminated at night, making it distinctive.
Visitors come to the chapel not only to pray but also to enjoy the breathtaking view of the lush landscape—often the highlight of a relaxing day.
On August 27th, the feast of Saint Fanourios is celebrated.
After Vespers, the traditional feast is shared with the faithful as fanouropites, offered by the faithful. A festive atmosphere often prevails, with music and dancing.

Kokkari is on the green island of Samos in Greece. An authentic and cozy fishing village with fantastic beaches at the foot of the Ambelosmountains.

Kokkari is a fishing harbour of Samos Island, which has now developed into a tourist center. Still, it preserves its old traditional face, with small houses and lanes full of flowers.

Kokkari is on a small peninsula full of houses which climbs up to the top of the hill with a small harbour on one side and a superb pebble beach on the other. Surrounded by green mountains and the view out to the sea, it's worth a journey.
