Sonic Rocket Engine v2.1.1 (SAGE '22) - Shadow

Описание: I'm happy to say that the Sonic Advance series is getting more love in the realm of fan-game frameworks. The Rocket Engine is an open-source framework for Game Maker: Studio 1 (or 1.4 for me at least) that aims to accurately recreate the original Sonic Advance game's engine. I got to say, it's pretty awesome!

There's not a lot of Sonic Advance frameworks for GM:S, at least available and open source. Heck, I thought I was kinda alone with the Trick Engine (a framework largely based on SA2 and 3 and I really should update it soon), but now there's another, arguably more accessible and more complete (and even better) one, especially for SA1 fans. The coding definitely looks A LOT neater and tidier than the Trick Engine and will probably be better to work with too.

There are five playable characters, with Shadow being playable via pressing the Start key on the character select. He's a bit incomplete but still pretty functional and cool! Since this framework is open-source, I'm sure that won't be too much of a problem.

I'd quite like to make a Sonic fan game with this engine someday. Not sure what (since I'll probably make a more SA2-like project with the Trick Engine) but I'm sure I'll think of something that would be cool.
