For levelling:
Usually, the ideal level for a character in dnd is to start at level three. For this build specifically, I recommend focusing on the artificer side first before multiclassing. You’ll have access to your artificer infusions, eldritch cannons, some spells, and artificer specific abilities at this level.
I usually set the characters to level seven in these videos simply to show a wider range of abilities that come with the class(es) but it is unlikely for you to experience them during early game. To play these characters, you may have to lower the levelling to what the dm asks of you. Not to worry though, it's more fun at lower levels anyway!
