How to make Easy PANDESAL with cheese ...This filipino bread roll with a cheesy twist is perfect for breakfast or snacks with a cup of coffee
Here's the Ingredients:
For the dough :
3cups of all purpose flour
4tbps sugar
2 tbps active dry yeast
teaspoon salt
1/4 cup butter
1 large egg
1cup milk (warm)
vanilla (optional)
For the coating:
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1tbps oil for greasing the bowl
For the filling:
Small cube of cheese (cheddar cheese)
PROCEDURE:
Active yeast
In a small bowl or cup.. mix 2 tsp sugar with 1/4 water or milk add yeast stir and let it sit for 5 mins until foamy.
Mix the dry Ingredients
In a big bowl, mix flour , sugar, and salt.
Add the wet ingredients, warm milk,egg, vanilla and the yeast mixture..
Stir until dough forms and the butter.
Knead the dough for about 10-15mins until smooth
Tips- add little flour if too sticky-
Place the dough in a greased bowl. cover and let it rise for 1hr and half or until doubled in size..
Shape and fill the dough .
Punch down the dough. divide into pieces
Flatten, add the slice cheese cube,then seal the roll into a balls.
Let it rise again for 30 mins
Bake
Preheat oven t0 350°F (180°C).
bake for 20-25 mins or until golden brown in color on top.
Let it cool slightly and enjoy! Share with your friends or family..
