The heart of the 2027 AMG GLS63 remains a handcrafted 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, now producing a staggering 621 horsepower and over 660 lb-ft of torque thanks to mild-hybrid EQ Boost technology. This 48-volt system not only adds extra punch off the line but also supports smoother gear transitions and improved efficiency. Mated to a 9-speed AMG Speedshift automatic transmission and fully variable 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive, the GLS63 rockets from 0 to 60 mph in just under 4 seconds. That’s supercar territory—only in a three-row SUV that weighs over 5,700 pounds.
Visually, the 2027 GLS63 gets refined aggression. In red, it looks absolutely fierce, especially with the updated AMG Panamericana grille, sharper LED headlights, and more sculpted bumpers. The front fascia has deeper intakes to improve airflow, while the rear gets redesigned tail lamps and a more pronounced diffuser. Quad AMG exhausts and massive 23-inch forged wheels give it a road-dominating stance.
