This is the first single off of our new album, Resurrection. It was recorded live at La Boite à musique in Montreal (www.boiteamusique.com).
Here is how Joe describes his inspiration for the lyrics:
One day, during those three months of the BP Oil Spill in 2010, I saw a news headline with a photo of the sea-floor oil gusher spewing oil into the Gulf of Mexico. The image made me think of a volcanic eruption, which made me think of the CEO of BP spewing words as he spread the blame and shifted the burden of responsibility for solving the problem and covering the damage from his company. Volcano is about that mix of environmental disaster and corporate greed.
