Are You Struggling with Power Moves and want to find ways to improve it?

In Today's Bboy Tips & Advice I'll be talking a bit about ways to improve your powermoves! I find that these tips are VERY useful and important when it comes to Power Moves!


1. Stretching (0:09)
2. Breathing (0:41)
3. Control (1:10)
4. Hamstrings (1:35)


Hey everyone, how is it going? So, in today's video I'll be talking about ways to improve your powermoves, so let's get started okay so the first thing I want to talk about is stretching, YASS~ Stretching!

I can't stress enough how useful stretching is when it comes to powermoves. Powermoves require a lot of body movement and momentum, so it is imperative that you do some type of warm-up and dynamic stretching as part of your practice routine.

Stretching is useful because it helps keep your blood flowing, help awarness of the body, increasing flexablity and most important one of the list, preventing injuries.

Alright, so another thing I want to talk about is breathing.
breathing is VERY important when your doing powermoves. This helps increase your duration to keeps you going for more transitions, combos, and recharges your body, giving your moves an extra push for more rounds. I know Its super hard to breathe while your flying or spinning and honestly one of the
hardest thing to do, but trust me after learning this technique. It made my habits and power combos WAY better! SO DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATHE WHILE DOING POWERMOVES. Make sure to breathe!

Now I'm going to talk about control and what I mean by this keeping your whole body tight, for example when your doing a flare make sure that your keeping the core tight locking your elbows so you don't crash, lean with your arms and shoulder, swinging your legs and hips. Keeping your body tight especially at the core will make moves more controlled and alot better! This is also helpful for flips and footwork! SOO YEAHH FLEX THOSE ABS!

The last thing I want to talk about is using your hamstrings.Whenever you kick for a power move like flare, windmill, halo or airflare, make sure that your kicking while using your hamstring. This will give you more of a powerful impact putting less stress on your body, better form and making your moves alot cleaner!
