In this episode of the Jim J Chronicles, I recount a harrowing experience from my days as a professional pilot and aircraft salesman. While flying over the rugged Baja desert near the Sea of Cortez, I witnessed the unthinkable: a fatal stall-spin crash of a fellow pilot in N4389F.

The tragedy didn't end there. Shortly after, while processing the shock and managing a panicking passenger, my own Cessna 172 began to lose power over some of the most unforgiving terrain in Mexico.
