On July 31st, 2010 at the "Community Lutheran Church" in Las Vegas, Nevada, history was made as The Original Chaperone [Nick Salvato] took center stage with The Next Generation of Chaperones. Classic Doo Wop songs and styles were celebrated bringing nostalgia and authenticity to the hearts of the adoring audience members.

In this live performance, we presented a host of Chaperone standards as well as some new twists to include some a cappella songs and even the standard and one of the most requested favorite doo wop songs "Gloria". The Chaperones singing group known as "The New Chaperones - The Next Generation consists of Nick Salvato, Stevie Dunham, Ken Allan Phillips, Dave Dannemiller and Skyler Jewell.

[UPDATE 10-13-2022 Hello All. Sadly the group "The New Chaperones - The Next Generation Live with Nick Salvato" [Original Chaperone] has also retired. However, these archives are here to help preserve the history and legacy of "The Original Chaperones" music as well as the new material created/owned by "The New Chaperones".

Here's a bit of The Chaperones Music History in case you aren't familiar with the original members.

The original Chaperones(often billed as one of the first American street corner harmony doo wop groups) formed in the late 1950's in Farmingdale Village, Long Island(New York State). The original members of the group consisted of Nick Salvato, Tony Amato, Roy Marchesano, Dave Kelly & Tommy Ronca.

The original group is probably best known for their Josie Records recording of "Cruise To Moon" which was released in 1960 with major accolades!

With this playlist we honor not only the original Chaperones, but all extended members who helped to make The Chaperones History a huge success, and helped to keep the memory of this group alive and current!

Some of the Chaperone songs(originals) we have re-recorded and performed live with original member "Nick Salvato" include "Cruise To The Moon, Man From The Moon, Shining Star, My Shadow And Me, Blueberry Sweet and many more.
