2020 Harley Davidson FXDRS HIGHSIDELIFE Test Ride Review

Let me start this by saying Harley Davidson's FXDRS is one of the bikes I've been very curious about. Since it was released I wondered, how would it ride? How would it handle? What would the power feel like on that platform? Is it heavy, Is it comfortable? What kind of lean angle are we taking? Tons of questions. This bike is very different from most of its cousins. The frame, front end, rear tire/swing arm combo, rider position...it's all just so unique. 
After about a half hour of riding I started to get familiar with how the bike handled and how it reacted when put under some "high stress" situations. The first notable thing no one can ignore is that giant rear tire, you feel it almost instantly as you go to pull out of the parking lot. More or less this bike wants to go straight. Second thing you will notice is the power. 119 ft pounds of torque at your finger tips on a 640lb motorcycle is nothing to overlook. These new M8 motors have serious potential. Next thing I put to the test was braking power and suspension.
The inverted front suspension on the FXDRS is firm, the front end does not "dive" when you mash the front brakes in a haste. The bike reacted very well to my hard braking. The first few rolling burnouts I did, the front end wanted to "push" on me. I blame this on the rake of the frame and the bikes low center of gravity for that. All in all a fun bike to ride, but not a very easy one to ride. I wouldn't suggest this bike for a beginner. She's a ripper!
