Dalai Lama's Birthday in Ladakh | Karsha Gonpa, Drang Drung Glacier & Lingshed Route Opened | Day 7

Описание: Day 7 of our Ladakh ride turned out to be something special.

Today was the birthday of Dalai Lama, celebrated here in Zanskar as Compassion Day. The entire valley felt peaceful and spiritual with cultural gatherings happening in photangs.
We visited the iconic Karsha Monastery, where we saw a preserved mummy dating back to the 1400s — a surreal moment standing in front of centuries of history.
From there, we rode towards Sani Lake, crossed the beautiful Pensi La, and witnessed the mighty Drang-Drung Glacier.
It was a relaxed ride, soaking in the landscapes and the culture.
In the afternoon, we received news that the road to Lingshed has opened. So we adapted our plan and decided to take the Lingshed route instead of Kargil.
In Ladakh, you always ride according to circumstances — and always have a backup plan.
Tomorrow, we ride to Lingshed.
