Cooking Gas Update: Govt Extends LPG Booking Gap to 25 Days, New Booking Rule Announced

Описание: The government of India has taken major steps to address concerns over LPG supply across the country. Government sources say LPG production at oil refineries has been increased by 10% following new directions issued to prevent any potential shortage.

To stop hoarding and malpractices, the government has extended the rebooking period for domestic LPG cylinders from 21 days to 25 days. Authorities have also invoked the Essential Commodities Act to manage distribution and ensure fair availability.

Officials say India is currently in a better position compared to many other countries, and the government is in constant touch with multiple nations to secure energy supplies.

According to sources, there was a brief LPG supply concern earlier, but the situation is now under control as the government explores alternative supply options and continues discussions to maintain stable energy availability.
