Today on Workshop Quick Takes (wqt): Cargo tie downs are essential in today's wangons and sport utility vehicles, and can be useful in other applications as well. We were unhappy with the cheap factory units in our 2000 Jeep Cherokee (XJ), and decided to beef them up.
Join us as we show how standard supplies from a nearby home improvement store and a hardware store are combined to make an extremely sturdy tie point that won't fail when the trail gets rough.
