For the second time this running shoe season we're tackling a trail shoe classified by the manufacturer as a "stability" shoe - the FluidFlex ST from Montrail. The ironic part of this is that the "stability" elements are pretty much canceled out by the inherent flexibility of the shoe. The result i a responsive and agile shoe that our testers enjoyed - even though they all typically run in neutral shoes. The FluidFlex ST has good grip and traction for trail that go from well-groomed to some more rocky and technical stuff. With its lugs being relatively shallow, looser terrain can be a challenge.
