🧺 Ingredients
🥣 Dal Preparation
Chana dal – 1 cup
👉 Hot water lo 30 minutes soak cheyyandi
Water – 3 cups
Oil – 1 tsp
👉 High flame lo 5 whistles pressure cook cheyyandi
🌶️ Masala (Roast & Grind)
Oil – 1 tsp
Coriander seeds – 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Black peppercorns – ½ tsp
👉 Low flame lo fry cheyyandi
Dry red chillies – 12
Ginger – 1½ inch
Coriander stems – fistful
Fresh coriander – ¼ cup
Salt – 1 tsp
👉 Cool ayyaka smooth ga grind cheyyandi
🥄 Lentil Paste
Cooked chana dal nundi 1/8 cup pakkana petti
👉 Leftover dal water tho kalipi fine paste laga grind cheyyandi
🍛 Final Tempering & Cooking
Oil – 2 tsp
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Asafoetida – ½ tsp
Curry leaves – few
Ground lentil paste
Remaining cooked chana dal
Hot water – 2 cups
Salt – as required
Fresh coriander – garnish
👩🍳 Method
Cooked chana dal ni ready ga pettukondi.
Masala ingredients ni roast chesi cool ayyaka grind cheyyandi.
Koncham dal ni separate chesi paste prepare cheyyandi.
Pan lo oil heat chesi mustard, cumin & hing add cheyyandi.
Curry leaves add chesi tempering prepare cheyyandi.
Ground lentil paste add chesi mix cheyyandi.
Remaining dal & hot water add chesi boil ki teesukondi.
Salt adjust chesi 5–7 minutes simmer cheyyandi.
Coriander tho finish cheyyandi 🌿
