I want to share with the audience how difficult it was for me at first to connect with people after leaving the cult. It took me years of hard work, not only for me but also hard work by my family members, to be able to reconnect after years of separation. I would often feel guilty for enjoying life and I would even feel anxiety from socializing with family and friends. I know I hid it well but when I came home I felt like a complete wreck. It is my hope that by sharing my story and my healing journey that others will be able to live life after a cult experience.
This podcast is not however limited to only cult survivors. This podcast is also dedicated to those who have been through abusive environments and coercive control. We all deserve healing
