However, the volume of homes sold declined by -18.2%, when meant that over 1800 fewer homes were sold in 2022 than compared to 2021. The market is slightly less competitive now in early 2023 than it was one year ago, which makes it easier for buyers than in recent years. While inventory has increased in early 2023 compared to early 2022, it is still a good time to be a seller, because there still is not even as many houses on the market in 2023 as there were in January 2019m pre-pandemic.
