Описание: This bodycam footage captures Florida wildlife investigators responding to a tip about an individual harvesting lobster without a dive flag in the Florida Keys.

The investigators were in plain clothes and in an unmarked patrol vessel. A responding officer walked around to see if he could find more evidence. The individual was charged with a total of 22 first and second-degree misdemeanors for undersized lobster tails, possession of wrung lobster tails, no measuring device, interference with an officer and resisting arrest without violence. The individual was taken to jail, where he pleaded guilty to all charges, served a jail sentence, and was then put on probation.

In Florida, it is illegal to separate a spiny lobster's tail from its body while you are in the water. Lobsters must be landed in whole condition. Once on land, the tail can be separated.

Investigators received a tip about an individual harvesting lobster without a dive flag near MM 95 Oceanside. The investigators were in plain clothes and in an unmarked patrol vessel and noticed the individual snorkeling along the shoreline without a diver down flag displayed. After a brief pursuit, the subject was arrested and transported to the Monroe County Jail. He was charged for: nine counts of possession of undersized lobster tails, nine counts of possession of wrung lobster tails, no measuring device, interference with an FWC officer, and resisting arrest without violence.
