This fight was done in Active mode. The first phase is simple. The second phase (remaining 120000 HP) is borderline impossible unless you get really lucky. In particular:
Kain cannot miss any of his attacks, especially the first hit with Focus. Mind you, his accuracy is only 58%
Unless you time your jump right, it's very unlikely for Kain to jump again even once after the first hit, before Babil uses Divine Judgement. Then, without Haste after being revived with Phoenix, Kain will never be able to jump again
Edge must not return. I still don't understand what causes the game to make him return prematurely. If he returns, just surrender
Babil must not heal more than twice. If you see him heal 3 times, just surrender because you will never kill him before your run out of resources (or he kills you). I literally had Bless + Phoenix in the second phase just to hope that Babil keeps spamming Divine Judgement instead of healing

If you want an easier time with this challenge, play on Wait mode instead
