I ONLY SHOOT JAKES | Western Turkey (EP. 4)

Описание: In this episode of our western turkey hunting series, Marcus Hockett is still up in northwestern Montana chasing longbirds with his longtime friend and local, Travis Rehm. In episode 3, Travis filled his tag on a bird and now Marcus is up to fill his.

It doesn't take long to get close to some birds, and a few jakes surprise the guys on the ground as they're getting their decoy set up at first light. Travis has to go back to work after the morning hunt, so he leaves Marcus and cameraman Michael on their own to keep covering ground and hopefully fill a tag.

Marcus heads to some new areas of public land in the area and is able to locate some calling birds. Hearing a bird and harvesting a bird are very different. He keeps after it and has one more morning to fill his Montana turkey tag. Able to roost some birds the night prior, they are up early and set up hoping to intercept a tom when he flies down in the morning.
