Marco Exam Chair, Tilt Mechanism, 2017

Описание: This video shows how I made an adjustment of the Tilt Mechanism of a Marco Eye Exam Chair — which fixed the problem the chair was having.

The complaint was, the chair would not lock in the upright position. And it kept shifting (tilting) out of place.
I contacted one of my repair acquaintances (from Lombart Instruments) for advice. In a voice mail, he gave me guidance of which parts to adjust inside the Marco chair.
A week later, I was back at that exam room and was able to make the adjustments so that the chair properly locked in place.

This video also shows how the chair cushions are attached and removed (to get inside the exam chair) in order to make repairs or adjustments.
And it discusses how to have the seat cushion re-upholstered.

I am now retired. During the last 20 years of my optometry career, I also did optical maintenance of equipment for over 100 eye exam rooms, annually.
I made assorted videos about the repairs & maintenance, and posted those videos on-line.
I hope to inform other “do-it-yourself” optometrists who want to know how their equipment works — and how to repair their equipment, when possible.
I posted the videos initially on “Vimeo” — and they are now also posted on YouTube.
On Vimeo, my actual name is listed.
For my YouTube videos, I use a pseudonym — “Energy Conservation in Housing” — which is the name of a book I wrote in my youth.
